Guiyu Zhao

Bio

Guiyu Zhao joined OrbiMed in 2024 as a Vice President on the Public Equity team in Hong Kong. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Guiyu was a director at AIHC Capital and an investment manager at Springs Capital, where he focused on investment opportunities in the healthcare sector. Previously, Guiyu worked as the biostatistics head at Hua Medicine and successfully launched an anti-diabetic drug into the market. He started his career as a clinical statistician at AstraZeneca. Guiyu specialized in Pharmaceutical Sciences and received his B.S. from Peking University, M.S. from Peking Union Medical College, and Ph.D. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
