Bio
Sevgi joined OrbiMed in 2018 and is a Venture Partner. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Sevgi was a founding member of the Merck Research Laboratories (MRL) South San Francisco Discovery site. Sevgi previously was a Director in Early Drug Development, MRL, where she planned, executed, and oversaw the development of a variety of programs. Before joining Merck, Sevgi was an Associate Professor at Rutgers and Director of the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program at RWJ University Hospital, as well as a pediatric nephrologist. Sevgi received her medical degree from Hacettepe University, degree in Pediatrics from The University of Southern California and degrees in Nephrology, and Master of Science in Clinical Research from Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
