Steven D. Wang, Ph.D., CFA

Bio

Steven joined OrbiMed in 2019 and is a Partner focusing on Asia healthcare equity investment opportunities. Prior to joining OrbiMed, he was responsible for pharmaceutical/biotechnology investment at CPE, one of the largest private equity houses in China. Previously, Steven spent over 15 years in healthcare investment banking for Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Rothschild in Hong Kong and New York, as well as in asset management for funds in New York. He started his career in research in Allergy and Immunology at Schering-Plough (now Merck).  Steven received his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and his MBA in Finance with Distinction from New York University.
