Bio
Dimitri is a Venture Partner of OrbiMed and joined the firm in 2018. Dimitri currently serves as the Ward Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Director of the Center for Neurogenetics at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. Previously, he spent over two decades at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School where he completed his research and clinical training and served on the neurology faculty. Dimitri is an inventor on numerous patents and serves on several biopharma advisory boards. He founded Vanqua Bio and Lysosomal Therapeutics (now Bial). Outside the office, Dimitri enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, reading history books, or playing guitar.
